Bio
Wendy’s painting draws inspiration from the Suffolk agricultural landscape around her home, from visits to classically designed parkland and gardens in Europe as well as from trips sketching and painting by the sea in the UK and abroad. An oil painter and a colourist, Wendy experiments with surfaces and compositions in order to express her own enthusiastic response to the natural world that inspires her. She is a qualified landscape designer and it is through the constant examining of classical garden layouts and the centuries-old man-made rural environment, whether wooded, arable or pastoral, that she finds her subjects. Wendy has a professional background in advertising layout, editorial and print. She has a BA Hons. degree in the History of Art and graduated from the Art Academy with a First Class Diploma in Fine Art in 2012.
